Granite Worktops Supplied and Installed

Granite is a natural stone, quarried from the earth and cut into slabs for use as kitchen worktops. Because it forms naturally, no two slabs are ever quite the same, giving each granite worktop its own individual colour, pattern and crystal structure. Natural Variation and Slab Viewing

Every block of granite varies, sometimes significantly, even within the same named colour. Photographs and small samples give a good general impression, but they cannot fully capture the exact veining, mineral flecks or tonal shifts of the specific slab that would be used for your worktop. Where possible, we recommend viewing your actual slab before fabrication so you know exactly what will be installed in your kitchen.

Benefits of Granite

  • A genuinely unique, one-of-a-kind surface for every worktop
  • Extremely hard-wearing and resistant to everyday wear
  • Naturally heat resistant, though trivets are still recommended for very hot cookware
  • Adds a premium, timeless natural stone appearance to a kitchen
  • Available in a wide range of colours, patterns and crystal structures

Maintenance and Sealing

As a porous natural stone, granite typically benefits from periodic sealing to help protect against staining, though exact requirements vary depending on the specific granite colour and its density. We will advise on the maintenance routine appropriate to your chosen granite during your consultation. If you are deciding between granite and quartz, our quartz vs granite guide compares both in detail.

Templating, Fabrication and Installation

Once you have chosen your granite slab, we carry out a precise on-site template of your kitchen to make sure every cut-out, joint and edge is accounted for. Your worktop is then fabricated off-site before our team installs it, connects any sinks or hobs, and finishes the joints and edges to a clean, professional standard.

We supply and install granite worktops across Buxton, the High Peak and Derbyshire worktops projects throughout the wider area.
